Nakshi Kantha embroidered quilt said to be indigenous to Bangladesh. The term nakshi kantha, popularly used in Bangladesh, is found even in medieval literature. This particular Nokshi Khatha is stitched with 2/3 red cotton layers of fabrics with the simple running stitch to give it's thickness, , which typically produces a rippled effect.
